Traditional Turkish Breakfast
Just what is Turkish breakfast? Starting with a traditional Turkish tea, you will move on to the many delicious choices that make the meal so fulfilling. With a wide variety of cheeses, including the creamy white kaşar peyniri, you can select a platter that includes black and green olives, boiled eggs (yumurta), an omelette, sucuk or dried sausage made from ground beef spiced with garlic, cumin, sumac, and red pepper. Have it with eggs (sucuklu yumurta) or order a börek made from thin sheets of dough filled with vegetables or minced meat and cheese. Adorned with cucumbers and tomatoes, there is nothing like a traditional platter with a Turkish coffee to end your meal.
